ABOUT OUR COMPANY

James Murray Associates was founded in 1986 and we have recently been delighted to celebrate our 35th anniversary working at the same offices in Cheam Village. Over the years we have built both a very strong business and reputation servicing Corporate, Trustee and Individual clients throughout London, the home counties and beyond.

Our first-class team brings more than 250 years of industry experience and we are absolutely dedicated to providing you with the outstanding service for which we have become known.

Each of our advisers is fully qualified (with several having more than 25 years industry experience each). Importantly, our support team also bring a wealth of experience, with most having specialised in their field for more than 20 years.

We do not stop there as we firmly believe in the growth and development of younger employees who are able to demonstrate and share the same values, professionalism, and commitment to service as our culture and clients’ demand.

We share the same ethos as our founder (now long retired) in building a sustainable business, operated by knowledgeable employees that our clients trust and enjoy working with.

Angela Garcia (Corporate Benefits Manager)
Angela has worked at JMA since 2000, initially in the role of Office Manager. Over the last 15 years she has managed the Corporate Benefits Team. The team look after JMA’s corporate clients and provide advice and first class administration support for all their Group Risk and Group Pension (including Auto Enrolment Assessment) needs. She is proud of the friendly and efficient service that the CB Team deliver to their corporate clients and their members.

Angela holds the Financial Planning Certificate and recently added Group Risk (GR1) to her qualifications.

Helen Keary (Operations Manager)
Helen joined JMA in 2010, initially in an adviser support role. She then moved onto a marketing & communications position, managing a rebranding project for the firm, and is now our Operations Manager. With a history in Customer Services Management, Marketing, Special Needs Education, and Financial Services, Helen’s varied background brings a broad range of experience to the firm. Her focus is to streamline processes, analyse data, assist with compliance, identify solutions using the best technology to support our business and, with an obsession for statistics, numbers and Excel, create and work on the calculators and MI data we use to support our advisory process and our business.

Suzanne Stone (Private Client Support)
Suzanne has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 40 years. Following 26 years of service with a leading insurance company, she joined JMA in 2011 to become a member of the administration team. She now works within the Private Client Support team, which strives to provide a personable, effective and efficient service to our individual clients. With an unparalleled keen eye for detail, Suzanne’s main focus involves organising the administrative work required to process the annual review service, perform research on existing plans and implement new financial products for our private clients.

Billie-Simone Killingley (Private Client Support)

Billie joined us in Autumn 2021. She has worked in different roles within the finance sector over the previous 10 years, mainly focusing on customer service. She enjoys working with the Private Client Team and is currently studying to achieve the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Dan Holbrook (Private Client Support)

In September 2025, we were delighted to welcome Dan as one of our two latest recruits, fresh out of Cheam High School 6th form. Along with Business Studies, he also studied Criminology, Food Science & Technology at A Level.

While studying he also worked as a chef for 2 years.

He enjoys working on our Private Client Team and looks forward to progressing his career in financial services, supporting our clients and assisting with our comprehensive research.

Hollie O'Brien (Corporate Benefits Support)

Hollie joined the Corporate Benefits Team in November 2020. She has several years experience working in the financial services industry. She is looking forward to furthering her career with us and has aspirations of becoming a financial adviser in the future.

Bill Langhorne (Private Client Support)

Bill joined JMA in 2011 having spent the previous fourteen years with Aegon (then Scottish Equitable) and the seven years before that with Scottish Widows. Taking a break from working for a company with ‘Scottish’ in the title, Bill brings much administrative experience and specialises in fund switching and portfolio rebalances. When not working Bill likes nothing better than a good book, tea and the Telegraph crossword.

Lewis Young (Private Client Support)

Lewis became part of JMA in 2023 after finishing his A Levels in Psychology, Business and Economics. He works in the Private Client Support Team, assisting our advisers with our annual review service. He enjoys closely monitoring fund performance and supporting the advisory process to help clients achieve their objectives. He is looking forward to developing his career, and in December 2024 began an Apprenticeship training course to achieve a Financial Adviser Level 4 qualification.

Sam Keegan (Private Client Support)
We were delighted to welcome Sam as one of our two latest recruits, fresh out of Cheam High School 6th form. He joined us in September 2025, after completing his A Levels in Business Studies, Criminology and Geography.

His interest in both Business Studies and Geography is fuelling his desire to gain a greater understanding of global markets and finance, as he learns all aspects of supporting our Private Clients.

He is looking forward to supporting our clients in achieving their goals, and aspires to dealing more closely with them in the future as his career develops.

Sheila Cheesman (Bookkeeper)

Sheila joined JMA over 30 years ago as a part time self-employed bookkeeper. Her clients were local companies where she handled, payroll, VAT returns, annual accounts, accounts software set up, trouble shooting and day to day bookkeeping. Recently she became an employee at JMA when she reduced her workload to enable semi-retirement. Outside work she is active in a variety of mostly voluntary roles including being a Magistrate and a member of the First Tier Tax Tribunal. Her major passion is church bell ringing where she is involved not only locally but as a regular member of bands at County and National level.
